Chaoslab Desktop Help....
Starting a Render....
To start a new render select the "New Render" option in the chaoslab drop down
menu.
Render Icons....
Render minize image (& tool bar)
Render maximize image (& tool bar)
Render exit / delete
Render input tab unconnected
Render input tab selected for connection
Render input tab connected
Render output tab (& tool bar)
Connecting Render Inputs....
Some renders have input tabs

which have to be connected to become active.
To connect a render input perform the following steps....
1) Create a couple of renders, one requiring an input.

2) Then select the input of the render you wish to connect to by single clicking
on the input tab of the render while the window is selected. If you have
done this correctly then the render input will look like.

3) Select the render you wish to connect the input to.

4) Then single click on the output
tab ( ) to connect the
render input.

To disconnect an input connection left click on it to select it then
right click on it to disconnect.
Render Palette....
Some render tool bars contain a palette editing interface (image below).

Selecting new Colors
Which is used to set the renders colors and control the renders color
cycling. Each render has four colors (the four color blocks underneath
the rainbow color pick area). To change one of the four colors in the
color palette. Then click on which of the four colors you wish to change,
the color you wish to change will be surround by a white and black rectangle
(like the green color in the above image). To select a new color just
click on the rainbow color pick.
Palette Buttons
The palette interface also have several buttons (image below).

1) Color cycle left fast speed.
2) Color cycle left medium speed.
3) Color cycle left slow speed.
4) Stop color cycle.
5) Color cycle right slow speed.
6) Color cycle right medium speed.
7) Color cycle right fast speed.
8) Color palette wraps smoothly.
Individual Render Info....
Each render has it's own tool bar and way of interacting with the mouse and
keyboard.
Flip / Mirror
This render requires one input to be connected.
Fractal Zoomer
Left Mouse Click: Zooms in to / out of fractal using the point location as a
centre point. The zoom ratio and direction is set in the tool bar.
If you get lost in the fractal set you may return to the beginning
setting by clicking on the "Restart" button. There are several fractal
render modes that can be selected.
Image library
The renders settings can be controlled from the tool bar.
JCthugha
Left mouse click to turn random wave on, right mouse click to turn it off.
When the mouse pointer is over the window particles are spawned. The
renders particles can be controlled from the tool bar and several render logic
modes are available.
Mix 2 Renders
This render requires two inputs to be connected. The mix mode
of the render can be selected from the tool bar.
Plasma
The renders settings can be changed from the tool bar.
Plasma Image
This render requires one input to be connected. The renders settings can
be changed from the tool bar.
Water
This render requires one input to be connected. Moving the mouse of the
render places droplets in the water. Various effects and the mouse
droplet mode can be changed from the tool bar.
Saving and Loading Chaoslab Desktops with CLDXML....
You may save a render desktop state by selecting the Chaoslab menu
"CLDXML View / Edit" option in the chaoslab drop down menu. This will
bring up a text dialog containing an XML description of the chaoslab desktop
state which can be copied and then pasted into a text editor and saved.
To reload a desktop you have saved just copy the CLDXML text and paste it into
the "CLDXML View / Edit" dialog. Then select the Chaoslab menu "CLDXML Parse"
option to parse the text in the dialog which will create the saved desktop.
