Information Eldian is a internet computer game editing system. It consists of a suite of five applications for editing and developing the various aspects of internet based computer games. Once the applications where complete the Eldian team enjoyed their first ever chance to actually sculpt a computer game instead of having to have a head under the bonnet kind of experience.... Eldian even has it's own programming language called OML (Object Manipulation Language) for programming all of the in game logic. This meens that when editing the game logic it looked more like english and no re-compiles of the game code are required just an update of the game logic file. The Eldian system is written in 100% pure JAVA and is over 35,000+ lines of code.... One of the main advantages of Eldian was that it allowed our team to make design decisions on the spot and see the results of those decisions in a matter of minutes instead of hours allowing for a much more expressive development cycle.... |
